Linda Sue Benson passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on June 20, 2024, at the age of 76 at Cannon Rivers Senior Living.

Linda was born February 27, 1948, to Myrl and Ola Jane (Casey) Slininger in Minneapolis, MN.

She attended Randolph Public School and later a Seminary School held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She was married to Robert F. Benson on January 16, 1965, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.

Linda was a woman strong in faith and held to the promise of God’s salvation. Linda cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved baking, crafting, decorating her home and traveling with Bob.

Linda will lovingly be remembered by her husband Bob of 59 years, 5 months, 4 days; children, John, Donald (Cindy), and Brian (Heather); 10 grandchildren, Courtney (Jake) Hogan, Michael and Zachary (Angel) Benson, Krista Setser, Maren Benson, Jenna Otterness, Onna, Tasha, Jessica and Jake Merritt; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, William (Joyce) Slininger, Steve (Crystal) Slininger, Marc (Karen) Slininger. Lori (Todd) Underdahl; sisters-in-law, Karen J. Slininger, Judy (Dennis) Smith, Janet (Ed Thomas); and many nieces and nephews. Linda was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Jim, and an infant grandson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Randolph Baptist Church, 29020 Dawson Ave, Randolph, MN 55065 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
