life story
A life lived in full color, but mostly purple...
Linda Engle, 76, passed away on March 23, 2025 at her home in Roseville, MN after a short bout with ovarian cancer. She was born in Le Sueur, MN, on February 13, 1949, the daughter of Irma and Vernon Braun who along with her brother, Larry Braun, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Barry. She is also survived by her sons Theodore Pollari of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Matthew Pollari of St. Paul, her stepdaughter, Beth Barron, of Minneapolis and stepson Scott Engle of Plymouth and her Maltese dogs, Moishe and Leo, of Roseville.
She was a 1967 graduate of Montgomery High School. Soon after, she moved to Minneapolis and worked at Medtronic for 7 years as a marketing assistant. In 1977, she married Keith Pollari and they had two sons, Theodore and Matthew. She was the cofounder of Summit Door, Inc. and worked in the business from its inception in 1987 until her retirement in 2003. In her retirement, she lived in Roseville and married her longtime companion, Bernard Engle.
She was a collector of eclectic things and anything purple. Her collection of fiesta ware was extensive. In her later years, the joy of her life was her two Maltese dogs who were adorned with purple hair and accessories. Always her own person, she remained fiercely independent to her last days. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
