Life of Linda

Linda M. Giardina, age 79, passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2022 at her apartment at Windmill Place in River Falls, WI. She loved her apartment and we honored her wish to remain there until her passing.

Linda was born on September 20th, 1942 in Kankakee, Illinois to Stanley & Jeanette Stankewicz. She was an only child, but enjoyed family traditions with Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Christmas was her favorite time of year.

On September 29, 1962 she married Richard Giardina. They raised three children in Illinois. Early on Linda enjoyed being a stay-at-home Mom, but later opened her own women's accessories business named La Boutique. She was very proud of this accomplishment.

In the late 70's the family moved to Shell Lake, WI where Linda worked as a Nursing Assistant at the local hospital and nursing home. She loved caring for people, so this was perfect for her. She would do anything for anyone, always putting other people's needs before hers.

Several more moves included Eau Claire, WI, where her husband Rick passed away, to River Falls, WI, for a brief time and then returning to Illinois to care for her elderly parents. After their passing she returned to River Falls to be close to her family.

Linda enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and sports, playing Bingo, tending to her flowers, baking and the company of her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Jeanette Stankewicz, her husband Richard Giardina and her son Eric Giardina. She is survived by her daughter Gina (Joseph) Hile, her son Timothy (Linda) Giardina, her grandchildren Adam, Brandon, Randy, Tony, Katy & Missy.
