About Linda

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda Mae Branden announce her passing on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at her home in Bagley, Minnesota. Born October 9th, 1953, she grew up on a farm in Alida, MN, the daughter of Howard and Margaret VanMill before moving to the City of Bagley.

Linda married Russell Branden on March 18th, 1972. They were married 23 years before he passed away in 1995. They had lived in Los Angeles (California), Pine Lake, and Wheaton, before making Bagley their hometown the Summer of 1983. They together had five children Dana, Jason, Darrell, Russell, and Karla. Linda enjoyed being a housewife for many years.

She is survived by her daughters Dana (Jeff) Chock and Karla (Mike) Braun and her sons Jason (Priscilla) and Russell and her daughter-in-law Peggy Sue Eckert Branden and her sister Betty Day and her brothers Dean VanMill and Robert VanMill and her sister-in-law Cheryl Rade (Branden) and her brother-in-law Willard Kelm and her grandchildren Fiona Clark, McKinzy Helm, Kamryn Branden, TaylorJo Braun, Haily Chock, Jevabelle Saunders-Branden, Myvabelle Saunders-Branden, Jett Saunders, Alex Braun, Hunter Chock, Thor Saunders-Branden, Levi Brandon, Jace Braun, and Thys Saunders-Branden and her great grandson Waylon Kaasa and her “bonus” son Kevin Sunderland along with several well-loved nieces and nephews.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Russell O. Branden, her parents Howard and Margaret VanMill, her son Darrell Branden, her brothers Thomas VanMill and Michael VanMill, her sisters Debbie Kelm (VanMill), Clare Dennis (VanMill) and Mary Lou Fahrlander (VanMill) along with her sister-in-law Carol Satterfield, her nieces Karen Satterfield and Cindy Warburton (Johnson) and her grandson Liam Braun.
