Linda Lee Gibbs

Linda Gibbs, 84, died peacefully after a brief illness on March 2, 2026, with family by her side. She was born in Detroit, MI on June 6, 1941. In 1963, after a one-week engagement, she married her handsome soldier and moved to Ft Hood, Texas where they stayed until his discharge from the Army. They lived in Mishawaka, IN for four years before moving to Edwardsburg in 1968, where she has lived since.

Linda is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Gibbs, and her three children, Christine, Wendy, and David. She has five grandchildren, Christopher, Claire, Benjamin, Karsten, and Elizabeth, and seven great-grandchildren. Linda proudly bragged about her children and grandchildren to anyone who would listen. She looked forward to their visits and always had something to give them. No one ever left her house without something she had given them to take home--big or small, new or used.

Linda was an avid collector of many things that brought her joy, including books, stamps, dolls, miniatures, records, glassware, and family photos. She also loved road trips with Joe. They were blessed to see many parts of the United States, including Alaska by cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary.
