In Loving Memory of Linda Mae Holland
Linda Mae Holland, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2024. Born on June 30th, 1947, to Victor and Elvira Lindberg in Mora, MN, Linda's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith.
Growing up in Cambridge, MN, Linda graduated from Cambridge High School before embarking on a journey that would be marked by love and dedication. In 1969, she found the love of her life, Bernard (Bill) Holland, and the two were united in marriage in 1971. Together, they made their home in Isanti, MN, where they raised their children and created a lifetime of memories.
Linda's professional life was dedicated to caring for others. After earning her RN from Anoka Ramsey Community College, she spent over thirty years as a nurse at the Cambridge Hospital, touching the lives of many.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Linda found immense joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She embraced life's journey with gusto, whether it was camping, fishing, shopping, or embarking on outlandish adventures across the country with Bill. Her Christmas letters were eagerly awaited by friends and family, who marveled at the tales of their escapades. But it was during the holidays that Linda truly shined. She was known for her elaborate celebrations, complete with tricky riddles, generous gifts, and lively games that brought her family together in laughter and joy.
A woman of faith, Linda was confirmed in Christ and remained a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Weber. She and Bill were the first couple married at St. John's as the church stands today. Her unwavering faith was a source of strength and comfort to all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband Bernard (Bill), her loving children Jodi (Ryan), Jeff (Tally), Julie, Darci (Donovan), her eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her brother Larry (Maly), her faithful dog Brandy, and numerous close friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Elvira Lindberg and her grandson Blaine James Zak.
Linda will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the enduring love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal light of her cherished memories.
