Leonard Wali Hakim Mingo passed away on January 31st 2025 at 7PM CST. He was 84. He graduated from Inkster High School in 1959. A few years later, he would migrate to the south and attend Tennessee Agricultural & Industrial State College in Nashville, TN, to study History, where he met & married Shirley McFerren in 1971. From that union, he is survived by his children: Jomo Mingo (52), Rafi Mingo (50), Jameela Mingo (48), Rashida Mingo (44), & Hakima Mingo (33) and 11 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren.
