A loving mother, wife, and grandmother
LeeAnn Yvonne Brown, 78, of Mound, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026.
Born on October 22, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Ervin and Ruth Kuester.
LeeAnn grew up as the oldest of four children and cherished her summers in South Dakota with her cousin Gloria and her Aunt Caroline. She loved spending time outdoors playing jump rope and hopscotch, creating joyful memories she carried with her throughout her life.
Nothing brought LeeAnn more joy than her family. She cherished raising her children and was delighted in watching them grow and flourish, building families of their own. She held her grandchildren and great-grandchildren close to her heart, finding joy in every milestone and gathering.
LeeAnn will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and wonderful sense of humor. She had a generous heart and was known for welcoming others in and caring for them as her own. She loved music, bingo, shopping, and playing cards—especially cribbage. She found her deepest joy in spending time with her family and helping others. Her presence brought laughter, warmth, and fun to every gathering.
LeeAnn was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Wayne; and her aunt, Caroline. She is survived by her loving husband, John Brown; her children, Jodie Coppin, Bill Coppin (Jennifer), Chris Coppin, Ryan Herzig, and Kelly Heitz (Chris); her grandchildren, Keri Coppin, Brittany Coppin, Hanna Brister (Shane), Cassidy Coppin, Brooke Coppin, Michael Coppin, Mariah Heitz, Shawn Coppin, and Cameron Heitz; her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Gund, Ryker Coppin, Henry Brister, and Emmett Brister; her siblings, Larry Kuester (Jo) and Karen Posey (Kevin); her beloved cousin, Gloria; her cherished extended daughter, Barb (Mike); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
