Laurel “Chip” James Sandberg, 35 of Bemidji born September 13, 1986 and passed away on July 18, 2022.

Laurel is survived by his mother, Laurie Sandberg of Fosston, father Anton James “Jim” Sandberg, Bemidji, grandmother Edna Sandberg, Bemidji, brother Jeremy Sandberg (Ashley) of Fargo, brother Tony Sandberg of Grand Forks, step brothers Ron Wood (Alexis), Campbell MN, Daryl Schleeter (Shauna), Rothsay, MN, and Joseph Schleeter of Fergus falls, MN, step sister Kari Wood, Minneapolis, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, special friends Tara & Joe.

Laurel was preceded in death by his grandfather Laurel Johnson, grandmother Eloise Johnson, grandfather Jim Sandberg, and step father Steven Schleeter.

Chip loved his hobbies of fixing and upgrading computers, or getting anything to work again, gaming, spending time with friends and his cat “Patches.”

Some of his favorite things about growing up were our “Johnson” family reunions every summer for many years. He loved holidays, and our weekly “Sunday Drives” with just mom and his brother were very special to him.
