Larry Ray Schmidt, 85, of Moose Lake Township, MN died under hospice care on Friday, March 3, 2023 at his home.

Larry was born on October 30, 1937 in Ladysmith, WI, the son of Raymond and Helen (Foster) Schmidt. He graduated from High School.

Larry was united in marriage with Joyce Ann Farrell on June 24, 1967 in Oconto, WI. He worked for 39 years for the Briggs & Stratton Corporation in Milwaukee, WI until his retirement on June 30, 1995. They moved to Minnesota in October of 2001 and lived on Moose Lake. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and hiking.

He was a wonderful father, and the kindest man you could know. He shall be truly missed, and loved forever by me through eternity. Everything he ever did for me, and with me won’t ever be forgotten. The last two years we had together will be cherished more than ever as we lived together then, and laughed, cried, and always knew we could depend on one another. I truly also enjoyed very much all the adventures we went on together. Especially the hikes through the Lost 40 woods, and the very scenic road trips I took him on along with the 4x4 off road adventures. May he rest in peace, and have a beautiful eternity. Until we meet again one day, pops. As death is only the beginning.

Larry is survived by his son, Clifford Schmidt of Pennington, MN.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Ann Schmidt in 2019; and his parents.
