Larry Doyle Parsons, 66, Park Rapids, MN passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 8, 2022 at his home.

Larry was born December 29, 1955 in Marion, Ohio to Doyle “Hack” and Naomi (Ayers) Parsons. In 1961 the family moved to Park Rapids where Larry attended school and worked at family-owned businesses, Wimpy’s Restaurant, Hack’s Recreation and Pool Hall, and Parson’s Plumbing and Heating.

He lived for a short time in Winona, MN then returned to Park Rapids and worked for Park Rapids Plumbing and Heating until he began his own business, Parson’s Plumbing and Heating.

On December 1, 1979 Larry was united in marriage to Julia Jacobson. They had two daughters, Amber and Leah, whom Larry was very proud.

Larry enjoyed talking, loved to laugh and loved to tell stories. He was a practical joker and enjoyed pranking people and teasing them. He was very mechanical, loved taking things apart, fixing things, and collecting anything needing work. He loved music and had a deep appreciation for all types, especially Bluegrass.

Larry is survived by his wife, Julie Parsons of Park Rapids; daughters, Amber Roberts of Frazee, MN, and Leah Parsons of New Albany, IN; 2 grandsons, Cole Roberts and Gage Berens.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Naomi Parsons; sister, Vivian Funk; and brother, Kenneth Parsons.
