Lana Jean Herdegen

Obituary

Lana Jean Herdegen, passed away surrounded by family at the age of 58 on October 13th, 2022, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Lana was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great friend to all those lucky enough to have known her. A devout Christian, Lana spent much of her free time volunteering at The Community Co. Church and Lakes Life Care Center in Forest Lake, MN.

She was born on September 16th, 1964, to Gary Unger and Maxine Peterson in St. Paul, MN. She grew up on St Paul's east side and graduated from Johnson High School, class of 1982. On November 20th, 1992, she married Mike Herdegen, eventually settling in the Forest Lake area. Lana was employed by Custom Mold and Design as an office controller. Her passions were trips to the ocean, motorcycle rides, family, friends, her Bible study group, and church family.

Lana is survived by her husband, Mike; parents, Gary and Maxine; daughter, April; sons, Anthony and Aaron (Sarah); granddaughters, Mady, Kelly, and Abby; sister Paula (Caesar); brothers Michael (Reyna), Bill, Dan (Leah), and Tom; as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was dearly loved and will be terribly missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at Crossroads Church 17445 Notre Dame Street NE Columbus, MN on Saturday October 29th, 2022; visitation at 2pm and service at 3pm.
