About LaDonna
LaDonna Sue Crawford (née Magee), age 63, passed away on July 15, 2025, in West St. Paul, Minnesota. Born on December 12, 1961, in South St. Paul, Minnesota, LaDonna lived a life marked by connection, curiosity, and learning.
A gifted relationship builder both professionally and personally, LaDonna had a remarkable ability to bring people together. Her radiant laugh and quick wit left lasting impressions on everyone she met. From lifelong childhood friends to colleagues and clients across the United States and Canada, her circle of friends was as diverse as it was devoted.
LaDonna built a successful career in the Human Resources industry—a field that perfectly suited her natural talent for understanding people and fostering meaningful relationships. Her work often took her across the country and beyond, which suited her well; travel was one of her greatest passions. Whether recounting past adventures to places like Peru, the Bahamas, or Costa Rica—or dreaming aloud about future destinations—travel was always a favorite topic of conversation.
Spiritually open-minded, LaDonna found inspiration in many traditions around the world. As an adult, LaDonna attended Unity Church in Austin, Texas, drawn to its inclusive appreciation of diverse spiritual practices.
She is lovingly remembered by her ex-husband, Douglas Crawford; brother Alan Magee (Peg); nieces Heather Magee and Holli Magee; and great nephews Levi Callahan and Liam Callahan whom she shared a particularly close bond and often spoke of his love for learning. In honor of this connection, a 529 education fund has been established for Liam in LaDonna’s name.
She now joins her parents, Eleanor and Raymond Magee, as well as her sister Roxanne Magee, who preceded her in death.
LaDonna's presence will be deeply missed by those who knew her—from lifelong friends to professional colleagues who became part of her extended family. LaDonna’s memory lives on through the many lives she touched—with laughter, wisdom, kindness, and an adventurous heart.
In her youth, LaDonna attended Luther Memorial Church in South St. Paul which brought her joy and now will be the place her life will be celebrated. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Luther Memorial Church 315 15th Ave., South St. Paul. A luncheon will follow at the church.
