life story
A kind heart, a loving spirit & a gentle soul
Kristin Elaine Curzon, a Nebraska native was born to John D. Knapp and Barbara Hawkins. She lived her life giving to others. She was a loving mother to her daughter Nicole Portalatin, and friend to all that met her. A passionate social worker for the State of Oklahoma for over 25 years. She loved her fur babies, an ice cold Coke Zero, a Payday candy bar, and a good book. She had a very special relationship with her “adopted daughter” Kelley Arbeene, which then created a beautiful bond with her “grandson” Xavier Blaine. She loved her family in both Nebraska and Colorado and was an avid Cornhuskers fan. Kristin kept everyone on their toes with her feisty ginger energy. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, stepfather, brother, daughter and cousins, and by now, she has certainly met them at the gates of heaven. Her family and friends will all miss her greatly and will honor her legacy of love and grace.

A celebration of life will be announced later this summer
Kristin did not want to have a somber event but instead, a celebration with all of those that she cared most about. Later on this summer, Kelley will announce a special get together to do just that.
