Khampen Phongsat, aged 95, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, in Inman, SC. Born on August 10, 1929, Khampen was known for her role as a dedicated mother to her ten children, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience.

Khampen is survived by a loving and extensive family, including EB Yong and family, Sombath Praseut's family, Somjit Porsomchai, Mouy Deam and family, Somboon Phongsat's family, Somphat Phongsat and family, Somphan Phongsat's family, Somphai Chhouen and family, Sompher Phongsat and family, and Narin Edwards and family. She was preceded in death by Sombath Praseut, Somboon Phongsat, and Somphan Phongsat.

A series of services will honor Khampen's life, starting with a Viewing Service on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM. A traditional Buddhist ceremony, including food offerings to the monks, will take place from Thursday, November 14 to Saturday, November 16, 2024, starting at 9:30 AM each day. Her life will be celebrated further with a Viewing, Farewell, and Cremation ceremony on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM, followed by a final Buddhist Ceremony and Dedicating on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 9:30 AM. All services will be held at 5 Bomar St, Inman, SC 29349, and The Seawright Funeral Home, 26 E. Main St., Inman, SC 29349.
