About Kevin
Kevin Robert Gardner, born on March 31st, 1951, in Minneapolis, passed away in his home on January 2nd, 2024.
Kevin was the youngest of three and only son of Robert and Adalou Gardner. He is survived by his two children, Carrie Gardner and Timothy Gardner and sisters Victoria Rice and Stephanie Loney. His grandchildren, Zoe (Carrie) and Mia (Timothy), were the apple of his eye, and his love for them knew no bounds.
A proud graduate of Hopkins High School in 1969, Kevin went on to attend Mankato State University where he earned a degree in Sociology. Kevin went on to take the reins of the family business, serving as a Manufacturer’s Representative where he specialized in the sale of hunting, fishing, and sporting goods.
Beyond his professional achievements, Kevin was a passionate golf enthusiast. Whether on the greens or sharing a joke or a captivating story, he had an innate ability to lighten the spirits of those around him. His quick wit and charming demeanor made him a beloved figure in both his personal and professional circles.
Kevin was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 2013 and fought a hard and noble battle of the debilitating disease. He was passionate about educating those around him about MS and making the most of his situation despite the limitations MS created for him.
Kevin was preceded in death by his beloved labradoodle, Pete, who was not just a pet but a true companion. Kevin is also reunited with his father and mother, Robert and Adalou Gardner, who awaited him on the other side.
Let us remember Kevin for the laughter he shared, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before him.
A private memorial service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held at a later date.
