life story

Kathleen (Peterson) Prom passed away on February 14, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dolores and Donald "Bud" Peterson, and brothers Jim and Rodney. Survived by husband Michael, children Heidi Wurtinger (Kris Markee), Sean (Lisa) Wurtinger, grandchildren Abby and Ben, sisters Nancy (Jim) Helman, Diane (Terry) Singerhouse, Mary (Curt) Volkert, other relatives Todd Prom, William "Tige" and Rochelle Ladwig and children Ethan and Drew.

Kathleen was born in Deronda, WI and was a longtime resident of New Richmond, WI. She proudly worked for St. Croix County for 27 years before retiring. After retirement, Kathleen and Michael enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Kathleen’s family would like to thank the staff at Our Lady of Peace for the compassion and care given to her. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, MN.
