Karen’s Story & Obituary

Bunda, Karen Lynn Age 68, passed away on January 1, 2021 in Amery, WI. She was born on February 23, 1953 in Milwaukee, WI to William and Jean Bunda. Karen grew up in Wauwatosa, WI. She graduated from Wauwatosa West High School in 1971.

Karen loved spending time with her family and took great pleasure in raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She was very passionate about her loved ones, spotting Eagles, watching her favorite films, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Karen is survived by her children, Steven Nichols and Jessica Patrick of Osceola, WI; John and Sarah Nichols of Coon Rapids, MN; Clint Nichols and Carly Kriedberg of Minneapolis, MN; her grandchildren Tristen, Owen, Devon, Aria, and Grace. She is further survived by her siblings, Anita Grandpre, Jennifer Bunda, Susan Weed, Milo and Eileen Bunda; her brother-in-law Jay Schultz; her nieces and nephews Christine (Scott) Moore, Victor (Talia) Kasper, Ryan (Jacqueline) Kasper, Jared Wold, Julia (Jon) Pearson, Victoria Wold, James Bunda, Melanie (Mirco Junker) Bunda, Janet (Mike) Pritchett,

Lisa Niblock and Stacy Schultz, as well as, other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Michelle Bunda and Mary Schultz, her brothers Jeffrey, James and Paul Bunda and her brothers-in-law, Rich Grandpre and Roy Weed.

A memorial service will be held at St. Vincent DePaul Church located at 9100 93rd Avenue North Brooklyn Park, MN at 10:30 AM on February 21, 2022.

A celebration of life will be held the same day from 9:30-10:30AM and Mass to begin at 10:30AM with Cookies and Coffee to follow.

A burial and ceremony is being planned in Milwaukee in Spring; more details to follow in coming weeks.
