Karen mom and gradma
Karen loved gardening and yard work. I remember watching her many times go out into her yard and pick dandelions , one by one , out of her grass and she would be outside for hours and sometimes into the night. She was amazing with plants, flowers, and vegetables. She could landscape too and she always was trying to grow grass from seed in many different yards. That was about the only thing that she could not do well or exceptional. My mom was sweet, soulful, spiritual, friendly, and loved children the most. She was also spirited and at times overwhelmed us all with some her tactics or attitudes she would have. Lastly she loved Metallica and many other heavy metal bands right up to the end. Although Metallica was her favorite and I turned it up really loud recently because they were playing live on the radio and she smiled the whole time. I am missing her very much and actually do not know how to let go of this beautiful woman. She is my everything and I was so close to her. I can not believe she passed. Her faith was strong and I hope and pray to eternity that she is with her god and her Jesus.
life story
An extraordinary grandma to Lucy Sue and exceptional mom to Debra Ann
She had a big life and lived in many places until she came full circle and landed back in Minnesota where she lived from 13 years old to 20 years old. She graduated from Central High School in Saint Paul and then was married at age of 20 and moved to California. Minnesota has been her home for the last 40 plus years. She is survived by her only child and her only granddaughter. She lived with her daughter and granddaughter for last 17 years in Saint Paul and she spoiled them like crazy and loved them so very much. It was her only wish in life to have a family and that wish finally came true when her daughter and granddaughter lived with her giving her something to love as her own.
