About Carrie Prindiville

Karen "Carrie" Lyngved was born on September 18, 1871, in Hanska County, Minnesota, to Aamund and Johanna Lyngved. She and her parents moved to Dakota Territory in the early 1880s, traveling by oxen and covered wagon. They settled north of Rutland, North Dakota, in Ransom Township.

In 1891 she married John Patrick Prindiville. They had three children: Anna (Mrs. Herbert Swanson), John, and Nora (Mrs. Roy O'Donnell).

She lived in the Rutland area until 1961, when she became a resident of St. Francis Home in Breckenridge, Minnesota. She is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Forman, North Dakota.
