Karen Beverly Kaufenberg (Firkus)

Karen B. Kaufenberg (Firkus), Age 67, Cottage Grove, passed away with family beside her on October 6, 2023 after battling stage 4 lung cancer. Preceded in death by parents William and Caroline Firkus. Survived by brother Bill “Buggs” (Karen) Firkus, son Scott (Lisa) Kaufenberg, son Clint (Cynthia) Kaufenberg and seven grandkids. Retired from Cub Foods as a customer service specialist, Karen also spent years working at Keenan’s Bar & Grill. An avid animal lover, Karen helped strays over the years, and deeply loved her latest cat, Buddy, who was by her side when she went on to be with Jesus.
