Karen Ann Cline

Karen Ann Cline, age 57, passed away surrounded by her family at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minnesota on October 5, 2024.

Born in Des Moines on October 4, 1967, Karen grew up in Urbandale, Iowa. She graduated from Dowling High School in West Des Moines and attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Karen was a proud Iowa Hawkeye fan and a dedicated employee of GMAC, SuperValu and United Natural Foods. She and her family lived in Iowa and Michigan before settling in Minnesota in 2006. Karen enjoyed life in Farmington with her sons, Matthew and Nathan, and their dog, Carly. She was very happy that both of her sons chose to live nearby as they became adults.

Karen’s family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Fairview Ridges Hospital and Apple Valley Village Health Care Center for the skill, compassion and care they provided during Karen’s illness.

Surviving are her two children, Matthew of Lakeville, MN and Nathan of Burnsville, MN; her four brothers, Steve (Shelley) of Waukee, IA; Dave (Marty) of Windsor Heights, IA; Robert (Nancy) of Maplewood, MN; Brian (Jamie) of Bondurant, IA; her sister, Kathy Moyna of Weslaco, TX, as well as numerous extended family members across the country. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Baas, and brothers, Michael Dennis and John Raymond Baas.

A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 25 at the Church of St. Michael, 22120 Denmark Ave. Farmington, MN. Visitation with the family will be at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Church of St. Michael Cemetery immediately following the funeral mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating in Karen’s name to your favorite charity.
