Julie Ann Plante
December 3, 1968 – July 8, 2025
Maplewood, MN, USA
life story
Loving daughter, sister and auntie.
Julie Ann Plante passed away on July 8, 2025 after a short battle with lung cancer.
Julie did her best to take care of the people she loved, and she always had encouraging things to say, especially to her nieces and nephews. Even when she was having a tough day, Julie would ask you how you are, and she would listen to your answer. She always remembered to say "love ya," and never let anyone else send the last text.
As a disabled woman, Julie faced many struggles. After years of living outside of Minnesota and away from her family, she came back home in summer, 2021. With the help of her team of doctors and social workers, she was able to regain her strength and independence.
Julie was a fierce advocate for children and domestic abuse victims. She was deeply empathetic and compassionate towards every living thing. She loved animals, and they loved her back. She had a gift for making jewelry and art. Her beaded art pieces hang in the window's of all her loved ones, and they remind us of her beauty everyday.
We know she is now surrounded by love and peace with her departed loved ones and a lifetime of pets.
Julie was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother, Jane Plante. She is survived by her father, Gene Plante; her sister Jeanine Nordine (Owen); her brother James Plante (Joanna); nieces Amanda Nordine, Catherine Poland (Nathan) and Monica Plante; nephews Erik Nordine and Thomas Plante (Sara Bittner) and precious grandnephew Aiden Nordine.
Julie was biological mom to baby Matthew, who she prayed for and thought about every single day.
