Julie Marie Dickinson 54, Park Rapids, MN passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Juliana Marie Kotila was born January 6, 1969 in Park Rapids to Martin and Martha (Haataja) Kotila. She grew up in Menahga and graduated from Menahga High School.

Julie was a very capable person, worked hard and she worked in a variety of businesses in the area including construction with her husband, Ken. She enjoyed picking blueberries, gardening, ice fishing and baking. She loved to spend time with her husband and family. She will be deeply missed.

Julie is survived by her loving husband, Ken Dickinson of Park Rapids; sons, Cody (Chyanne) Fransen of Menahga, Brandon (Lindsey) Fransen of West Fargo, ND; stepdaughters, Ashley (Jason) Aus and Rachel (Jeremiah) Utecht both of Fargo; mother, Martha Kotila of Park Rapids; siblings, Melvin (Kelley) Kotila of Brainerd, MN, David Kotila of Hubbard, MN, Kathy Moore of Virginia, James Kotila of Wadena, MN; 2 grandchildren, Gavin and Lylah Fransen of West Fargo; 2 step-grandchildren, Benjamin and Olivia Aus of Fargo; other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Martin Kotila; a sister, Corrine Kotila; a brother, Terry Kotila; and her father-in-law, Douglas Dickinson.
