Judith “Judy” Marie (Beckstrom) Long, 84, of Bemidji, MN died Friday, January 26, 2024 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Judy was born November 7, 1939 in Steven, Minnesota, daughter of Vincent and Hilma (Thunberg) Beckstrom. She was raised and educated in Steven, MN. She played the piano and flute. She could twirl a baton, and was the fastest typist in her class. She met Donald Long on a blind date. Soon after they were married. They were together 67 years.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Long, children Gordon (Trudy) Long of Gilbert, MN, Cheryl Long of Ely, MN, David Long of Bemidji, MN, and Danny (Susan) Long of Mt. Iron, MN, grandchildren; Jenny, Jessie, Lacey, Austin, Trena, Breanna, Kayla, Dylan, Alex, and Kennedy, 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Her grandkids were her greatest joy! She was also survived by her brothers Jerry Beckstrom of St. Cloud, MN, Robert (Daniel) Beckstrom of Bemidji, MN,

She was preceded in death by her parents Hilma and Vincent Beckstrom, sister Diane who passed at birth, and Judy lost twins to a miscarriage.
