Joseph Woods

Joe was born in Chicago, Illinois, to parents John and Vernita Woods. He grew up in Markham Illinois, attending Bremen High School in Midlothian. He joined the Army right after high school. He went to school for cooking and worked in several restaurants.

In 1989 he moved with his parents to Minnesota and was married in 1994 and settled in Columbia Heights where they raised their family. Joe worked as a Compounder for most of his career. He finally had to quit working in 2022 as he began his 16 month battle with ALS.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Kimberly (Loucks), children Simone and Andre Woods, brothers John of Chicago and Michael (Angela) of Stone Mountain, GA, as well as extended family and many friends.
