Joseph Xavier Torres, born on July 4, 1975, passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 50.

Joe will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, charismatic personality, outstanding smile, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. He had a way of making people laugh, bringing energy into a room, and making those around him feel welcome and cared for.

Joe especially enjoyed celebrating his Fourth of July birthday with family and friends. He loved spending time outdoors camping, hunting, and fishing, activities that brought him peace, adventure, and happiness throughout his life. He also had a great love for music and concerts, always enjoying the experience of live performances and sharing his favorite artists and songs with those around him.

Joe is survived by his loving parents, Kathy and Ricky Powers; his sister, Sarah (Kris); his brother, Adam Powers; nephew, Taisuke; niece, Mieko; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his uncles, Douglas Shepard and Patrick Powers; his grandparents, Sue and Arlin Shepard and Marjorie and Lawrence Powers.

Joe’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His family asks that he be remembered for the joy, warmth, laughter, and love he brought into the lives of others. His smile, generous spirit, and the memories he created with family and friends will never be forgotten.
