life story

Where you invest your love, you invest your life.

I told him once he was an “unhinged Peter Pan” and I think he really just leaned into it after that.

Keith loved harder than anyone I’ve ever known. Even when he didn’t know how to love himself. He made a lot of people have to love him from a distance, but they loved him just the same.

What you should know about Keith

Keith came into the world on January 12, 1986. I wasn’t there, but I can only assume he was probably dramatic about it. Growing up, Keith took his job as big brother very seriously. I’m not sure if he ever knew what he “wanted to be when he grew up,” but I know he wanted to build a family. Not just blood family, but friends that were like family. The things that were important to Keith may not always have been evident to other people, but the people who knew him best knew. He struggled with a lot of demons he could never seem to shake. And they took the things that were most important to him. I know he thought he still had time to show everyone who he really was. He leaves behind friends and family that will always love and miss him, and two children who never got to see the best of him. He left the world suddenly and tragically, but he wouldn’t want the people he loved to carry that as their last memories of him. So when you look back, remember the Keith he was underneath. That’s what he wanted.
