John Howard Gray, 77, of Shooks Township, MN, died on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

John was born on July 3, 1943 in Bemidji, Minnesota to John and Ina (Heikkinen) Gray. He joined the Navy and served on the USS Midway during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver most of his life, most recently working for Weidenborner Trucking. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reloading ammo.

John is survived by his four children, Evan of Northome, MN, Nathan, of Crookston, MN, Mary of Minneapolis, MN, and Amy Verlarde of Pueblo, CO; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Gross, of Hines, MN.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Gray; and 2 brothers, Marvin Gray and Gene Finn Gray.
