JOEL

Joel Richard Johnson, age 55, passed away July 16, 2023 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Joel is survived by Sarah, wife of 31 years, children Nicholas and Caysie, parents Douglas and Helen Johnson, brother Jeff (Wendy), sisters Jeanne (Dave) and Julie (Mark). Along with aunt, cousins, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Joel grew up in Bloomington, MN. After high school he obtained a degree in Distribution Center Operations and Management from Dakota County Area Vocational-Technical Institute. From there he became a truck driver and eventually started Breeze Transportation Service Inc. Joel loved driving truck, especially his Peterbilts.

Joel had a passion for tinkering with vehicles and loved everything that had to do with motors. Many hours were spent in the garage working on projects. Most recently that involved working on Jeeps to ready them for off roading adventures.

Joel was a dedicated family man who would do anything for anyone, or any dog. He expected nothing in return and was overwhelmed by people’s kindness and generosity during his cancer journey.

Joel is loved and will be dearly missed!

Please join us in the sanctuary for Joel's Funeral Service at 1:00 and/or the Celebration of Joel's Life get together in the Fellowship Hall at King of Kings from 2:30 - 4:30 on Saturday, July 29th.

We encourage you to drive or bring your Jeep, off road vehicle, classic car, or other vehicle that Joel would get a kick out of.
