Joel Mannie Whitcomb

Joel Mannie Whitcomb passed away March 16, 2026, at the U of M Hospital, surrounded by family. He was born on November 9, 1954, to Donald and Marion Whitcomb at the Princeton Hospital. After graduating from Princeton High School, he attended Bethany Lutheran College while working for his father's business, Cloverleaf Dairy.

Joel married Joni Hatch in 1976, and they welcomed two children, Joshua Lee and Jaclyn Ann. In 1979, Joel met his soulmate, Shauna, whom he married in 1985. He welcomed her son, Shane, and together they raised their three children with great love and pride. Joel was blessed with four grandchildren, each of whom was incredibly special and adored. He was so proud of his family and loved to brag about his children and grandchildren to everyone.

Professional and hardworking, Joel spent 30 years with Kemps Dairy before retiring. He was a man of integrity who was always willing to help others. He enjoyed spending time with family, golfing with friends, taking fishing trips with "the boys", going for long walks, and engaging in good conversation. Joel had many friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Shauna; children, Joshua (Christie) Whitcomb, Jaclyn (Rob) Bremer, and Shane (Katie) Sienko; and grandchildren, Austin and Abby Whitcomb, and Asher and Briggs Bremer. He is also survived by his sister, Colleen Johnson, and many extended relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marion, and his brother, Phillip.

Services will be private for the immediate family.
