A LIFE OF RADIANT JOY!

Surrounded by her loving family, Jo Anne went home to the Lord on January 27th after suffering from a stroke. She joined her father (Alvin Pernu), mother (Adeline Pernu) her sisters (LaRita and Maxine) and her brothers (Alden and Richard) in heaven.

JoAnne was born on May 30, 1940, in Britt, Mn. To Alvin and Adeline Pernu. She graduated from Mt. Iron High School in Mt. Iron, Mn., and from Suomi College in Hancock, Mi., She was a Cheerleader in High School and College and active in her church’s youth group, choir and Women’s group.

JoAnne was a devoted mom and worked as a tailor and seamstress.

JoAnne was a gift to everyone who came to know her including family, friends and members of churches where her husband was a pastor.

JoAnne is survived by her husband Thomas; son Davin Amara (Holi); daughters Bonnie Handke (David); Julie Weber (Mike); Tami Peterson (Mark) and Grandchildren Laura, Liliana, Signy, Heidi, Rachel, Bria, Lindsey, Abram, Sara, Tryg.
