life story
Jerry will be remembered!
Jerry Leroy Kuehl, age 80, passed away on January 2, 2025, at Aspirus Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Jerry was born to Raymond Sr. and Mavis Ann (Des Boullions) Kuehl on July 12, 1944. He married Joannie Bredl on November 25, 1965. They later divorced after some years of marriage.
For the past decade, Jerry resided in Wisconsin Rapids. He was a proud patriot with a deep love for eagles, flags, and wolves. Jerry found joy in attending “work” at Park Place and loved activities such as bingo, leatherworking, listening to music, watching movies, and exploring educational programs on his computer. He also enjoyed the occasional game of Pinochle, where his competitive spirit would shine. Jerry had a kind heart, a creative eye for artistic design, and a sense of humor that shone through his insistence on signing documents with his self-given Indian name, "Step and a Half." He had a special fondness for cranberry rhubarb casserole, his favorite dish. His favorite song was Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd, which resonated with his introspective and reflective nature. Jerry also shared a special bond with the family dog, Mitzi Foo Foo, who brought him great comfort and companionship. His warm personality and unique spirit will be deeply missed.
Honoring Jerry's wishes, he chose to be cremated, and a private release of his ashes will take place at a later time. There are no plans for a formal service at this time. He is survived by his children: Jeri Lee Scholl, Johnny Kuehl, Chad Kuehl, and Mary Jane Reed. He is also survived by his siblings: Harvey Kuehl, Raymond Kuehl Jr., Marcia Ann Kuehl, and Melissa Kuehl. Jerry will be remembered for his artistic soul, playful humor, and the love he shared with those around him.
