life story
Jerome Laatsch
Jerome (Jerry) Laatsch, beloved husband and father, passed away on May 15th with his wife, caretaker, and best friend Amy by his side; along with their daughter Micayla (Andrew) and his daughter Missy (Sherri).
Jerry was born on September 18, 1946 in Merrill, WI to Edwin and Elaine Laatsch. In 1964, he graduated from Arrowhead High school in Hartland, Wi.
Some of his favorite hobbies when he was younger were baseball, softball and bowling; later in his life he enjoyed golfing in his free time. He loved watching and going to games for the Packers and Brewers. Not only did he love sports but he was an avid hunter and fisher; he really enjoyed the outdoors. If he wasn't hunting or fishing, you could find him camping with his girls; oftentimes bringing his nieces, nephews, or neighbor kids along. Once they all grew up, he would spend time with their children and earned the name Papa Jerry.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Amy (Scobey) Laatsch. He was a proud father to two daughters: Melissa (Sherri) Laatsch and Micayla (Andrew) Laatsch-Heldt. He is also survived by his seven siblings, his in-laws Jack and Ann Scobey, Amy's seven siblings, numerous other family and close friends.
A special thank you to Nurse Elizabeth, Dr Demel & his team, the infusion depart and Dr Stoy for being with us every step of the way over the last 13 years. We would also like to to thank his caring Adoray team for all the help and support the last few months.
Honorary pallbearers Gary Walton, Scott Johnson, Crosby and Tate Morris, Jake Scobey, Noelle and Vinny Holter, and "HIS" favorite niece.
