An incredible man of God has made his way home and was greeted with loving open arms by Jesus. Jeffrey Roy Buhr, 70, of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on November 4th, 1955 in Hutchinson, Minnesota and spent his life as a teacher, hairstylist and man of God. He was known above all for always having open arms to all. He was a loving Father, a loving Grandfather, loving Husband and mentor. He had a heart on fire not only for his passion of cutting hair and his business, but for our Lord, Jesus Christ. He was a hard worker with the upmost integrity and wanted to see the best in those around him. With the help of Denise Stultz he built an incredibly strong business, L’avantage Salon. Together side by side they cut hair and built this business from the ground up to be the premier salon and spa in The Woodlands. It expanded to a total of 3 locations (4 including Shag Salon). He put his entire life into L’avantage and had such a love of teaching others and seeing them grow in their careers. His business was not his only love though. He loved hard when it came to his family who were taught the value of integrity, love and morals and all were involved at some point working in the salons. He also had such a love of music, rocking it out on guitar and had quite the love and collection of cars over the years.

He is survived by Misty Buhr (prior spouses: Denise Stultz and Nada Spanos), his children: Brandon Buhr, Courtney Albritton (Steven), Hannah Buhr (Marc) his grandchildren: Brynn Taylor Buhr, Blakely Layne Buhr and Charlotte Lily Albritton and siblings: Sam Buhr and Eugene Buhr. He was preceded in death by his parents: Roy W. Buhr and Meta V. Buhr, his siblings: John Buhr, Roger Buhr and Lanette Hlavka.

A celebration of life will be held on July 27th at Chapel in the Woods at 12:00 PM. Flowers can be sent to the chapel the morning of the service.
