Jeffrey R Hehn

life story

A big man with a big heart

Jeff lost his battle with cancer and died peacefully in his home in the arms of his loving wife Gretchen.

About Jeff

Jeff was a colorful character and a lifelong resident of the St Paul area.

He was a skilled tradesman and, for many years, owned CPR Construction, specializing in carpentry, painting and roofing projects. Over 14 years ago, Jeff left construction and began working for Ramsey County at the Battle Creek Yard Waste and Composting site. As the sole worker at the site, Jeff especially enjoyed meeting and getting to know residents and honing his gardening skills.

Jeff loved fishing, playing pool, auctions & bargain hunting, woodworking and gardening. Jeff especially looked forward to his annual winter trips to Palm Springs with his wife Gretchen.
