Jeffery W Quade
December 9, 1959 – August 15, 2025
Burnsville, MN, USA
Jeffery Ward Quade, affectionately known to some as Beef, passed away on August 15, 2025. He took his last breath surrounded by his wife and children while his larger than life spirit was welcomed home by a larger than life thunderstorm.
The youngest of three boys, Jeff was born on December 9, 1959 to Wilbur and Geraldine (Quenemoen) Quade. He graduated from Springfield High School before attending UW River Falls. A lifelong involvement in the hospitality industry is where Jeff found much of his work, much of his play, his spouse, and many good friends.
A true foodie, Jeff was the one in charge of his “cooks kitchen” at home where he could be counted on to make an abundance of delicious food for his family and friends. “What else can I get ya?” could be heard from the kitchen when everyone’s plates were empty and their stomachs already full. He could often be found researching the latest kitchen (albeit with little regard for the remaining counter space) or planning the next recipe to try on one of his numerous smokers.
In addition to the importance of his family and food, many who knew Jeff know of his passion for sports. Throughout his life there was a sport he participated in for every season including hunting, fishing, golf, bowling, pool, darts, and softball. In his younger years there was basketball, football, and baseball. For his kids, he wore many of the different volunteer hats that came with their chosen leagues. If it wasn’t typically a competitive activity, Jeff was one to make it so (chili / salsa contest or fantasy football anyone?) With diligence and practice, he was able to harness his gift of competitiveness and tales of his prowess in many things will be cherished memories.
As a lifelong Minnesota sports fan, Jeff knew how to share his sometimes questionable sense of humor. He recently graced us with “You watch, this is the year the Vikes are going to win the Super Bowl!”
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Geri, an infant older brother, and eldest brother Randall. He will be forever missed by his wife of 35 and a half years Sydney, his daughter Samantha (Keith) Mitchem, his son Brockton, along with many other dear friends and family members that helped shape his life. Granddogs Roscoe, Mo, and Kala will certainly miss his ear scratches and treats as well.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday September 12th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 13801 Fairview Dr, Burnsville, MN 55337, with a one hour visitation starting at 10am and a lunch following the service.
Jeff’s family respectfully suggests a memorial donation in lieu of flowers. The Springfield (Minnesota) Baseball Association will be the recipient.
