Avid Fisherman, Animal Lover and Humanitarian

Starting when he was just a little "Fella," Jeff Jr. was exposed to fishing, which would become his favorite pasttime. Through the years, he would find opportunities to drop a line, come rain or shine, with the special people in his life. He had strong passion for all living beings but especially adored cats. Jeff had a lot of compassion for people who were less fortunate than him, giving whenever he could and borrowing his ear to others when they were down and and out, needing a friend.

Jeffrey Allen Welage, Jr.

41 years old; born 6/18/82 and left us 6/1/24. Preceded in death by Grandparents, Brother Bradley and Sister Jennifer. Survived by: Grandma Schneider, Mother Pamela, Father Jeffrey Sr., Stepmother Jayne, Sister Nicole, Brother Michael, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

As an adult, Jeff worked mostly in landscaping and on cars. He wanted to be remembered as a gentle soul who was a "cuddle-holic." A lover not a fighter, he was a huge fan of Dragon Ball Z, specifically Vegetabuu. He was a foodie at heart who barbecued as often as possible. Jeff always appreciated a good cup of coffee, Mountain Dew, and an occasional Red Bull.

He liked scratch-off lottery tickets and sunglasses from the gas station.

Jeff sincerely accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior but was also a rule breaker. Together, he and his sister were baptized at Good Shepard Lutheran Church and Jeff would later say yes to God on two more occasions when he got baptized again. He was confirmed at Messiah Lutheran Church where he participated in youth group and went to church on Sundays.
