About Jeanette
Jeanette Johnson, 67, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the DAC in Bagley, Minnesota.
Jeanette was born on June 2, 1955 at Cloquet, Minnesota the daughter of Gustav and Corinne (Lundgren) Johnson. Jeanette lived in Nebraska from 1963 until 2008 when she moved to Bagley, MN.
Jeanette’s middle name was Love. Officially, it was Elaine, but everyone who knew her, heard her say at least once, I love you! Her life was all about her family, the Johnson’s, the Rasmussens, her Pine Ridge and DAC family, her Grace Chapel and Faith Lutheran families. Even clinic and hospital staff became recipients of her heartfelt ‘I love you.’
Most of all she loved Jesus. She memorized many songs from church and Sunday School and could find and read special verses in her Bible. She prayed for all of us and assured us that her prayers were going to the right place.
Jeanette enjoyed traveling with and to visit family in Nebraska and Colorado—for several years her Family Reunion was a summer highlight. She enjoyed Special Olympics, Camp Confidence, and any outing or event the DAC participated in, especially if it included music and dancing.
Jeanette’s pastime was looking at her pictures—visual records of her childhood and life events. Pictures were part of her ‘love junk’ collections which also included her Olympic medals and ribbons, bling she collected from the thrift shop and any gift she ever received.
Jeanette’s cup was always full and her spark and exuberance made our lives better and fuller for having known and loved her. She will be dearly missed!
Jeanette is survived by her sister – Ruth (Al) Rasmussen of Hinckley, Minnesota
Ken (Suzie) Johnson of Delta, Colorado
