Jay Lewis Wolgast

life story

Jay was a loving husband to Barbara Wolgast for 42 years. He was a father to Travis Wolgast, Melinda Wolgast, Trevor Wolgast, Melody Wallace (Mike), Lonnie Wolgast (Stephanie), & Shea Wolgast (Jessica). He passed away on March 18th 2025 from a long battle with cancer. He was born in Cadillac Michigan. Jay and Barb raised their kids in Ham Lake briefly, but primarily in Cambridge-Isanti. He became baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1953 in New York City in the Atlantic Ocean. He became a full time pioneer while still in high school. He worked at Graco and Remmele Engineering for over 45 years. The family describes him as an honest, hard working man with strong spiritual values. He loved talking to people about the Bible.
