life story

Jay Allen Schulz born January 19, 1949, in Golden Valley, Minnesota. He

moved to California as a teen where he met his wife of 47 years. Jay and

Rebecca started their careers and family in California, and later moved

to Minnesota in 1994 where Jay started a successful business helping

people save water and property. After over 26 years in business, he

retired to spend time at their home on the lake. He passed away

peacefully at his home in Zimmerman on February 2, 2024, after a

three-year battle with cancer.

Jay is survived by his wife, Rebecca; son, Travis (Jenny); daughter, Laurel

(Adam) Vokaty; and two grandchildren, Katherine and Leland; siblings,

Leslie Waddock, Kevin (Paula) Kaiser, Todd Kaiser, and Tim (Carol)

Kaiser; and nieces and nephews.

Jay cherished his family and friends. He was always willing to share his

mechanical talents with neighbors, friends, and family, all which

brought him great joy.

He had tremendous support through this journey from family,

neighbors, friends close and far with incredible health providers. Even

though there was pain, there was so much joy along the way.

On June 1, 2024 a celebration and dance will be held at his home on the

lake, as Jay requested. Time 11-4pm service, lunch, and dance.
