Jason Michael Lory

Jason Michael Lory, 41, of Turtle River, MN died on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at his home.

Jason was born on April 18, 1981 in Friendship, Wisconsin. He grew up in the Bemidji area and graduated from Bemidji High School in 2000. He attended Bemidji Tech for construction/plumbing and graduated in 2002. He worked as a carpenter with various construction companies in the Bemidji area and currently was working for Kuechenmeister Construction in Bemidji.

Jason enjoyed hunting, fishing, bonfires, music and spending time with his family. He especially loved spending time with his daughters. He brought joy and laughter to those he met. He had a keen wit and sense of humor, and loved his family very much.

Jason is survived by his daughters, Makayla Lory of Turtle River, MN and Bella Lory of Blackduck, MN; parents, Linda and Mark Nelson of Hines, MN; brother, Jamie (Juan Calderon) Lory of Minneapolis, MN; 2 sisters, Betheny (Paul) Vaccaro of Florence, Texas, and Heather (Corey Anderson) Lory of Bemidji, MN; twin brother, Joe (Shanna) Lory of Tenstrike, MN; 10 nieces and nephews (Jason was a father figure to his nieces Ashley and Abby, as well as little Nellie); numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and other family and friends.

Zion Lutheran Church 217 Main St, Blackduck, MN 56630, USA

Terry Hagensen will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2nd at Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck, MN and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackduck.
