About Janice
Janice Decker Bishop went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, February 16, 2024 after battling Lewy Body Dementia for several years. She has been reunited in Heaven with her husband Paul Bishop and parents Bruce and Mary Decker, where, healed and whole, they praise our Mighty Savior together again!
Janice is survived by her brother (Daniel Decker), three sons (Paul, Justin, and Danny), and two granddaughters (Izabella and Lilly).
Janice was a devoted wife, a patient mother, and a beacon of God's love and devotion. She always provided an ear to listen. For many, she was a shoulder to cry on in times of tribulation. For everyone, she was a prayer warrior, fervent and faithful. A hug was her reminder that everything would be ok and that she loved you no matter the circumstances. She believed the love of God should be shown to all His creatures great and small and His gift of salvation shared with all His children.
Janice lived a ministry-filled life, devoting much of her energy as a pianist and musical director at church, teaching music and developmental courses in various schools, and volunteering in the special needs community.
The latter was her legacy and the culmination of her life's work. She worked tirelessly to establish Mount Jubilee Ministries for the purpose of offering focused Christian care and support to the special needs community and their families. Janice presented her life as a servant to Christ and through His guidance she touched the lives of everyone she met and many that she would never meet. Her life is a testimony of strength, compassion, understanding, and most importantly, love.
Janice will be missed, but her legacy continues through the endeavors of Mount Jubilee Ministries.
