Jane (Janie) Whim

Janie was born June 3, 1951. She passed away December 30 surrounded by her family. Janie along with her twin sister Joan, were adopted by Alice and Norman Whim, Gibbon, Minnesota. She attended K through 12 in Gibbon. After graduation, she attended St. Cloud State University and graduated with honors from Mankato State University. She also attended William Mitchell law school.

Janie married the love of her life, Diane, on 12/13/14. Together, they raised three beautiful children, Jonas, Brook Park, Alice, Colorado, and Sasha, Rush City.

She was a proud veteran of the Persian Gulf war.

Janie is survived by her children, Jonas, Alice, and Sasha, her great nephew, Jacob, whom she helped raise, two grandchildren, Cadence and Val, her twin sister, Joan (Dean) Holtz, three half-sisters, Lancie, Lori, and Linda, nephews Jeremy and Nathan Kulberg and nieces, Heather Martinson, Danielle Lopez, and Sadie Petron along with many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved wife, Diane, and parents, Alice and Norman Whim.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 2 PM at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Saint Joseph Minnesota with internment at Fort Snelling cemetery in the spring.
