James Thomas Baker, Jr.

The Baker family acknowledges the passing of James Thomas Baker on November 22, 2024, following an accident while fixing a vehicle at their home.

Big Jim’s memory survives through his wife of nearly 55 years, Monica; his children James Thomas Baker, III (Sue) and Jennifer (Larry) Holtgren; his Grandchildren Cody (Paige), William and Lauren (Andrew) and his Great Grandsons Hunter and Oren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Esther [Gunderson] Baker.

He died as he lived . . . with his boots on. He will be remembered for his quick wit and caring nature. Always one to lend an ear, hand, tool or vehicle to someone in need. He loved sharing stories of his rebellious youth and the wisdom that came from learning from his mistakes over the years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Bloomington Eagles Aerie 3208; 9152 Old Cedar Ave South, Bloomington, MN 55425 from Noon to 4:00 p.m. on February 16, 2025. Remarks at 1:00 p.m.
