James K. Jaeger

born May 24, 1955, passed away on August 10, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family at 10:30 PM He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Scanlon, and his father, James Allen Jaeger. James was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man who worked hard his entire life to take care of the people he loved. His family meant everything to him. He was proud of his family and would do whatever he could to make sure they were taken care of and knew how much they were loved. He believed in working hard, enjoying life, and making the most of the time he was given. He made friends easily, loved a good time, and had a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome. He leaves behind countless stories, memories, laughs, and a whole lot of people who were lucky enough to call him husband, Dad, Grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. James is survived by wife, Melanie Jaeger, his children, Monica Stidger, Ken Jaeger, and Amber Telissa; and son in law Ali Telissa. his cherished grandchildren, Andre Gise, Alivia Stidger, Anna Stidger, Ashton Stidger, Grace Shodeinde; and his great-grandchildren, Luna Verrastro, Miloh Verrastro, and Monte Verrastro. Although he is no longer here with us, his laughter will still be heard in the stories we tell, his love will live on in his family, and his memory will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He lived a good life, loved deeply, worked hard, laughed often, and left this world having made it a better place simply by being in it. He wasn’t just a good man—he was our good man. And he will be missed more than words can ever say. Until we meet again, keep the jokes coming, keep the good times rolling, and save us a seat. ❤️
