James "Jim" Lloyd Stelzig

James “Jim” Lloyd Stelzig, 90, passed away on July 16, 2025, in Plymouth, Minnesota. Born on August 30, 1934, in Sauk Centre, MN, Jim was a cherished member of his community and a beloved presence in the lives of his family and friends.

Jim graduated from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud in 1952. He married Kathleen “Kathy” (Guelker) Stelzig on June 15, 1968, in Blaine, MN. Dedicated and hardworking, he built his career at IBM, where he worked from 1968 until his retirement in 1996.

Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy; his daughters, Sandra (Jason) Darst and Sharon Snyder; his son, Paul (Jennifer) Stelzig; his sister, Joann Stelzig; his brother, David Stelzig; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Darst, Michael Darst, and Alexander Stelzig. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Olivia (Schlicht) Stelzig, and his siblings, Mary Jane, Constance, Lois, Catherine, Elizabeth, and Kenneth.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at Trillium Woods on August 2nd, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and remember a life well-lived—a man who deeply touched the hearts of all who knew him.
