Goodbye Jim - We Love You

It is with great sorrow we say goodbye to James (Jim) Irwin Pire, who passed away on January 22, 2026 from complications after an emergency surgery.

James was born on May 15, 1950 to Norma Pire and Irwin (Sam) Pire in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Jim grew up in Elk Lake, WI along with two sisters, Christine Poppe (Pire) and Julie Lawrence (Pire) and a brother William Pire..

At the ripe old age of 20 he married the love of his life, Marjorie (Marge) Thompson on June 22, 1970, and together they raised a son Tracy James Pire, and a daughter Cynthia(Cindie) Sue Olson (Pire). He was also the proud grandfather of grandchildren Ani and Ryan Olson.

One of the things Jim enjoyed most was riding his motorcycle. He took trips to the Smoky Mountains, Glacier Park, Yellowstone Park along with many day trips. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and going to the races.

I’m addition to traveling, his true love in life was spending time with his family and friends. In his later years, he really came to enjoy time with grandchildren and was always there for family.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Irwin Joseph Pire and his brother-in-law John Poppe.

At this time, No funeral service or Celebration of Life is planned.

Jim was very lucky to have such a great group of friends. You all meant a lot to him.
