James A. Tillges

life story

James Albert Tillges, 87 of Lakeville, MN passed on September 17, 2025 at 87 years old. Preceded in death by Parents, Sylvester and Vella Tillges, sister Barbara Norris and longtime companion Bonnie Engleman(Inverness FL). Survived by Stephen Tillges of Burnsville, Michael Tillges of River Falls, Sheila (Jeff) Felty of Ham Lake, Patrick (Denise) Tillges, Regina (Rich) Toews, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

James graduated from Lakeville High school and joined the US Navy. Soon after married Mary Pat Martin also of Lakeville and had 5 children. Following in his fathers footsteps James started his career as an engineer for Rosemount Engineering, eventually retiring from Lockheed Martin in 1993. In retirement James found happiness on his sailboat, socializing and traveling with friends. Private mass and internment.
