A Loving Father and Grandfather

James Allen Shaw, 64, of Newton, New Hampshire, passed away on January 29, 2026, with his family by his side.

James was born on April 28, 1961, to Dianne Shaw and the late Robert Shaw Sr.

James was a proud father to Tanya Shaw, Ashley Davies, and James Shaw Jr., and a devoted grandfather to Jocelyn, Kelsey, Brody, Jameson, Riley, and Henry. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and anyone who knew him knew how deeply he loved them. He is also survived by his siblings Steven, John, Dee, Robert Jr., Richard, and William. He was preceded in death by Donald Jr., Gina, and Antionette.

James served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1980 to 1986, a time that reflected his strength, loyalty, and sense of duty.

Those who knew James will remember that he could be hard-headed and set in his ways, but he had a big heart and would do absolutely anything for his family. He showed his love through actions more than words, and those closest to him always knew they could count on him. Beneath his tough exterior was a man who loved fiercely and protected his own.

James will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held in late spring or early summer, when family and friends can gather to remember him, share stories, and honor the life he lived.

He will be missed more than words can say and loved always.
